Congratulations to our Director of Coaching Ali Arman, who recently completed the FIFA-recognized National B License, a highly-rated badge offered by U.S. Soccer.
The B License is an exceptionally rigourous course that is the first full step in the pro-coaching pathway. It involves a very selective application process (spots are extremely limited) and are mostly hosted at the state-of-the-art National Development Center in KC, which is the soccer coaching school for the highest level coaches in the country.
The process involves two multiple-day full class visits to the aforementioned NDC; after each visit, there is a development periods, in which candidates apply what they have learned in their environments and work on about a dozen formal assignments which help them become more versed in USSF methodology, including the 6 Tasks of a Coach. During the classes and development periods, they work closely with intstructor mentors and colleagues.
Finally, candidates return to the NDC one last time to undergo final assessments, in which they have to show competence to pass. The whole process takes several months to complete;
The USSF B is the minimum license required to coach in USSF-affiliated Developmental Academy, and is also the minimum requirement to qualify to be a U.S Soccer Coaching Education Instrudtor.
Congratulations Coach! Thanks for leading by example!
